Ah I remember

I am not very good at doing stuff like housework, I hate ironing, folding, washing dishes etc just like most people I guess. But unfortunately as a mother of three and wife of one, and tolerater of a furry friend I have no choice, I have to do it. So in order to take my mind off how much I don't want to do it I usually have some form of entertainment going at the same time, music, dvd, television, or a long conversation on the telephone.

I had been watching Sex & the City on dvd, because I am the only woman in the western world it seems who didn't watch it on the TV the first time around. I tried, but I just couldn't get into it. Gotta tell you I am loving it now, and wondering what was wrong with me when I first watched it, but that's a story for another day.

Anyway the dvd store was all out of S&TC last week, so I had to find something else. My gorgeous, beloved, beautiful sister gave me the first season of Greys Anatomy on dvd for my birthday last year, and of course I have watched it, but it was a while ago, so I slipped the first disk in while I was ironing the other night.

Ah... I remember. That's why I will watch the next season even though, as I commented a while back, I thought I was losing the love for it. I have even found I like Meredith again, because I was really starting to dislike her, And Christina, undiluted and ambitious, before she put herself under Burkes thumb.

Cant wait to do more ironing so I can sink into it again. Um, maybe... some people iron underpants don't they? and sheets, and towels... I'll have the flattest stuff in the neighbourhood lol.

And a quick last note - Number one son's AFL team made the Grand Finals this year, they play this Saturday at 9.15am, so if anyone has some luck to spare, please send it to his team, because they are going to need it! Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Finger, toes, arms and legs crossed for Saturday morning and sending lots of positive vibes. So exciting (and heart wrenching) when your children are in these kind of events. Share all the same thoughts about housework, ironing etc. and used to do exactly the same as you. Fortunately now I'm older, have no kids at home, and more disposable income - I have two little fairies in my life - Faye - the cleaning fairy and Melissa - the ironing fairy!!! It's something for you to look foward to!!

Being sick and house-bound, I've been rediscovering DVD collections too! I think I'm going to put the Office on, if I can dig up series 1 somewhere. (The British one of course, as much as I love Steve C. in the American one, it just isn't the same!)

I'm with you...I totally "lost the love" for my FAVOURITE show ever during season 3. I even vowed to not watch anymore now that they've fired Burke...but.....season 4 will be starting soon.....and it's gonna be a long cold winter without something great on tv to watch...and my daughter still wants to watch...so I guess I will. Meredith better not piss me off though! LOL!

Hope your son did okay in the game on Saturday. Nope, youre not the only woman who didnt watch SITC - I never did either. And I think I watched 2 episodes of Grays ever. Hmmmm.

Hate ironing too though! :)

The photos of the shoes have a dual purpose - I'm thinking of boxing them all so would stick a picture on the end. Was going to go with the clear boxes but it's going to cost me a fortune so might compromise for now. We'll see. So I'm not totally anal - only a bit!!!LOL

I never watched Sex in the City either......... I have watched a couple of episodes on austar, and I think I would enjoy it too. Don't know how come I chose not to watch it.

Sorry to hear your son lost his game, but isn't it great when they do something special like losing graciously.
